WE BECOME LIKE HIM

 Philippians 3:21

Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

A very partinent question for anyone who thinks about eternity, what are we going to be like?

Like the angels, ghost like, what exactly?

The answer to that question is answered and seen in Christ Himself:

Matthew 28:7,9-10

And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.”

And as they went, Jesus met them and greeted them. And they ran to him, grasped his feet, and worshiped him.

Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t be afraid! Go tell my brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see me there.”

Luke 24:31,36,39,42-43

Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And at that moment he disappeared!

And just as they were telling about it, Jesus himself was suddenly standing there among them. “Peace be with you,” he said.

Look at my hands. Look at my feet. You can see that it’s really me. Touch me and make sure that I am not a ghost, because ghosts don’t have bodies, as you see that I do.”

They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he ate it as they watched.

John 21:9-10,12-13

When they got there, they found breakfast waiting for them—fish cooking over a charcoal fire, and some bread.

“Bring some of the fish you’ve just caught,” Jesus said.

“Now come and have some breakfast!” Jesus said. None of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord.

Then Jesus served them the bread and the fish.

1John 3:2

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Not like religions and other forms of beliefs, Christ gives us assurance of where we go and what we will be -

* we will be where He is and we will be like Him. Glory to God.

Now let us get it, only He can give resurrection, no one else can:

John 11:25

Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.

1 John 5:9-12

Since we believe human testimony, surely we can believe the greater testimony that comes from God. And God has testified about his Son.

All who believe in the Son of God know in their hearts that this testimony is true. Those who don’t believe this are actually calling God a liar because they don’t believe what God has testified about his Son.

And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.

We would not toil with so great a salvation.

I always remind as many that listen that humans that the Father has created are innumerable, no one is indispensable, thus if one rejects salvation, there are many who yet believe, many to replace. Think on it.

John 15:5-6

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.

No matter what happens, abide in Him who will raise us up, give us eternal life and make us like Himself.

Philippians 3:20

But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.
