TOWARDS THE GOAL

Philippians 3:14
I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

The believer's focus should be on finishing the race,  there should be no going back. Definitely our time moves forward so also should our faith walk. Forgetting or letting go of the past we move forward towards the accomplishment of the purpose.

Paul explains that in moving forward we do not let go of the progress we have made, NO, we rather improve on it.

Peter teaches:

2 Peter 3:18
Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.

For we do not think that we have finished the race till we actually finish it. This ignorance is what makes some to begin to act out strange pride, thus leave the humility of the faith to display that which is not of the Lord. Paul says NO, yes I may have achieved so much but I keep in line I know it is not over until it is over.

Philippians 3:18-20
For I have told you often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ.
They are headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and they think only about this life here on earth.
But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.

*Be careful of those who teach that they already have their heaven on earth, for they most likely imply that they look do not look forward to eternity with the Lord.*

For we cannot know all of Him until we see Him face to face, thus everyday we draw closer and closer to Him. Halleluyah

Look at the life of Paul, he had lived so much on religion and the bondage of the law, however his life did not begin till he encountered Christ. Yes, all who are yet to encounter Christ are yet to begin and this is why the duty of the church is to reach out to them. When you come to Christ life begins, then you do the faith walk, for then the journey to eternal life starts:

John 3:3&5
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.

Thus if you are reading this and you are not yet in Christ, the journey has not even begun. Selah

2 Corinthians 5:17
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

So where are you headed?

As believers we keep moving forward, for we know where we are headed and what we will become and where we will be:

John 14:3-4
When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.
And you know the way to where I am going.”

Glory to God. We know that where Christ is, there we will be.

Revelation 1:18
I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.

Revelation 7:17
For the Lamb on the throne will be their Shepherd.
He will lead them to springs of life-giving water.
And God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”

Halleluyah

He calls us blessed.
