TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE
Acts 28:25-28
And after they had argued back and forth among themselves, they left with this final word from Paul: “The Holy Spirit was right when he said to your ancestors through Isaiah the prophet,
‘Go and say to this people:
When you hear what I say, you will not understand.
When you see what I do, you will not comprehend.
For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes— so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand,
and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them.’
So I want you to know that this salvation from God has also been offered to the Gentiles, and they will accept it.”
For no one is forced to believe anything, No. Listen, why should you account for what you are not involved in. It is abnormal to kill another because they do not follow one believe or another, No, it is their choice.
However, the power of choice which gives man liberty is also the same power that could destroy man, for you can decide to do whatever you want but you cannot decide the consequences of that action. Here, we talk of eternal life.
John 3:18-21
“There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.
And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.
All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed.
But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.”
Thus the Jews who rejected the message of salvation where on their right to, however it cannot change the truth. Listen, they all hoped for the coming of the Messiah, so did their ancestors too, however He came but they did not know Him, some blatantly refused to believe, they were expecting something else. A man who will lead them to war against the Roman government, to make them world power, there they missed it. Jesus told Pilate:
John 18:36
Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this world.”
This is the wrong perspective of many religious leaders all over the earth, they do not see eternity, neither can they see the Heavenly Father, so all their battle is of this earth. Some Christians have also fallen for that big err too. No, it is an eternal inheritance.
For the liberty man needed was from the power of SIN and DEATH.
Romans 8:1-2
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
For the truth remains the truth, listen again:
John 1:18
No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.
1 John 5:10-12
All who believe in the Son of God know in their hearts that this testimony is true. Those who don’t believe this are actually calling God a liar because they don’t believe what God has testified about his Son.
And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.
So the only true testimony about the Heavenly Father is in Christ Jesus His Son, He was in Him and He returned to Him.
John 10:28,30,33
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me,
The Father and I are one.”
They replied, “We’re stoning you not for any good work, but for blasphemy! You, a mere man, claim to be God.”
This is the truth and no religion or sect can change or alter the truth.
Even in the church some do not hold the full truth, looking through the books of Acts we receive instruction, we see direction, we are cautioned and encouraged.
See you could have whatever program, talk, show etc in your gathering, however ensure that the main work is done: the unsaved are preached to and those who have believed are strengthened and encouraged. This was what the apostles at the beginning of the church did. They were not amasing wealth to themselves(you will leave it all behind), they were not fleecing the sheep, they were not seeking for worldly fame or power, they were not moving around in convoys, they were NOT looking for people to bow down to them or give them respect. They were serious and focused, the fed the sheep and sought for the lost to bring them home. They were men and women of faith, they did not speak to entice the people, they told them the truth.
1 Corinthians 2:4-7
And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit.
I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.
Yet when I am among mature believers, I do speak with words of wisdom, but not the kind of wisdom that belongs to this world or to the rulers of this world, who are soon forgotten.
No, the wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God—his plan that was previously hidden, even though he made it for our ultimate glory before the world began.
They did not run from persecution, they knew it was part of the calling. The had a good report, even the law and the people in secular authority had no case against them.
This is our example, this is the church and her leaders. Lord bring us back to the truth.
The word of God will grow and prevail. Glory to God. Never be caught on the false/flattering side.
He calls us blessed.
