OUR WAY OF LIFE

Titus 2:1-7

As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching.

Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. They must have sound faith and be filled with love and patience.

Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good.

These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children,

to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.

In the same way, encourage the young men to live wisely.

And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching.

Read through the seven verses again. When we look at the present day believers, do we see the reflection of the true gospel, is there a good testimony? When the secular world hears of a pastor or minister what comes to mind? Have we represented Christ faithfully or have we betrayed Him?

Did the elders and mentors of the older generation do a good job?

The elders today, what are they doing, are they leading the younger alright, what examples are they showing?

These are questions that we must answer truthfully. Why do we wonder that we have so many worship centres (not business centres) yet it is evil that seems to reign here and there. You cannot open your doors to strangers, you cannot trust a young man or woman to look after your business, NOT even members of your own fold.

Greater than morality is the character of the believer for our righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the Sadducees:

Matthew 5:20

“But I warn you—unless your righteousness is better than the righteousness of the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven!

For the righteousness we have is of Christ, empowered by His Spirit:

1 Corinthians 1:30

God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.

1Cointhians 1:30

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

The acceptable righteousness in the sight of the Heavenly Father is not self righteousness, it is not the type we use to become a nuisance to others, a show off, that you are holy, that is not for the Heavenly Father.

So you fast (which is not even a fast for you have already started the day with food), then you persecute another for not fasting even go ahead to beat up, imprison or kill another for not fasting, that is clear ungodliness. Some want to impose their dressing culture, others their abstainance on another. All these are mere foolishness and bondage of man-made religions. Not of the Heavenly Father.

For what has to do with the Heavenly Father is of faith, it is not a compulsion, but a willing heart filled with love, that always desires to please the Heavenly Father.

Most of the enforcers and dictators of all these sentiments are worse off themselves, for it is a heart conscious of sin that sees sin in everything.

Titus 1:15-16

Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted.

Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.

Titus 1:15

Unto the pure all things [are] pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving [is] nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

For Jesus said:

Luke 6:41-42

“And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?

How can you think of saying, ‘Friend, let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.

Luke 6:43-45

“A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit.

A tree is identified by its fruit. Figs are never gathered from thornbushes, and grapes are not picked from bramble bushes.

A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.

Hello, the believer has a way of life and that way of life is of Christ it is not a man-made religion but a relationship with the Heavenly Father, you are made part of His family.

John 1:12-13

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.

Seated with Him in the Heavenly for He gave us an inheritance:

Ephesians 2:6

For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.

So there is no holding grace and walking in SIN, that is not possible, neither is there walking in SIN and holding grace that also can't work:

2 Corinthians 6:14-15

Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?

What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?

That is why it is wonder that a believer who claims to be filled with the Spirit goes for a deliverance, hello, from what?

Renew your mind! That's where the problem is!

Romans 12:2,21

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.

We have a lifestyle of faith, forget the religious people and motivational speakers who are all about money and self righteousness, we walk in faith.

Titus 2:11-14

For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.

And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God,

while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.

He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.

Hello, how you feel about it does not matter, the truth must be taught:

Titus 2:15

You must teach these things and encourage the believers to do them. You have the authority to correct them when necessary, so don’t let anyone disregard what you say.

Live the life of Faith.

So help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.

Love
