OPTIMISTIC

Philippians 1:12-14

And I want you to know, my dear brothers and sisters, that everything that has happened to me here has helped to spread the Good News.

For everyone here, including the whole palace guard, knows that I am in chains because of Christ.

And because of my imprisonment, most of the believers here have gained confidence and boldly speak God’s message without fear.

Glory to God. This is the testimony of the believer, for the persecutions and trials yet work out God's great purpose.

Paul was in prison, it was as if they had succeeded in caging him, oh they assumed they had silenced the message but no:

Philippians 1:12

And I want you to know, my dear brothers and sisters, that everything that has happened to me here has helped to spread the Good News.

They helped him spread the good news.

Philippians 1:13

For everyone here, including the whole palace guard, knows that I am in chains because of Christ.

He became a living testimony that all in the place of power knew about the gospel of Christ.

Philippians 1:14

And because of my imprisonment, most of the believers here have gained confidence and boldly speak God’s message without fear.

As a result of his persecution, believers in Rome gained confidence and boldness to preach the gospel. They could sight him as a testimony. 

Thus you will understand when he says:

Romans 8:28

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Truly so, you can't be of the Father and not get help, He makes even the worst situations become a testimony.

Do you have mockers? Do people hate you for no just cause? Do people like to take advantage of you or maybe a dislike because of your faith?

No matter what it is, don't put your mind on it, remain unapologetically that good person you are for no one has the power to make you what you are not. You are a special one, the Lord does not take you for granted.

Listen, if you have bad characters or habits quickly drop them, they are strange to the unbeliever, if you have His Spirit, you live by His nature - Galatians 5:22-23. For you have no case against others when they despise you for your bad character or disposition.

Walk in the light, that you have no lot with the unfruitful works of darkness, it is a dangerous distraction.

Help us Good Lord.

See the rising of those who preach for envy sake did not start today, all these false teachers and wrongly motivated clergies are not new, they had been there from the beginning of the church. Don't let them weigh you down or make you disheartened, but like Paul see it this way:

Philippians 1:17-18

Those others do not have pure motives as they preach about Christ. They preach with selfish ambition, not sincerely, intending to make my chains more painful to me.

But that doesn’t matter. Whether their motives are false or genuine, the message about Christ is being preached either way, so I rejoice. And I will continue to rejoice.

The Lord will deal with them. However, for those who serve Him sincerely:

Philippians 1:6

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

Eventually it will yet be what it is, the Heavenly Father will be glorified in His Son, Jesus the Christ.

We will rejoice also, for we are His.

Glory to God.

He calls us blessed.
