CHRIST DID IT ALL FOR US

Titus 3:5-8

he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.

He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.

Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.

This is a trustworthy saying, and I want you to insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good. These teachings are good and beneficial for everyone.

This is the part religious folks and self righteous people don't want to hear. However when something is finished, it is, you canNot do anything for it or about it.

John 19:30

When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and released his spirit.

The work of salvation was finished by Christ Jesus, you cannot do anything about it. It is either you receive it or you reject it. Simple.

Where the religious miss it, is that they feel that by following some certain sets of rules, being in some certain places, rituals, abultions etc, you attain. NO!

Ephesians 2:8-9

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.

Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

Now where the over zealous grace people miss it is here: when you get into a new kingdom you walk in it's customs and life style.

Romans 12:1-3

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.

It is grace and truth. The two walk together. Grace is the finished work, truth is obedience.

John 1:17

For the law was given by Moses, [but] grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Let us understand the difference:

In religion you try to please man, a sect or a religious group. In Christ you please the Heavenly Father.

Listen, even before Christ came the people that God selected and allowed to walk with Him, where those whose heart were fixed on Him.

Listen no one was compelling them, no religious group or people to please No, just the love of the Heavenly Father. See Joseph, see David, see Daniel then see in the new testament - Cornelius.

They needed no religion, they only sought for what was important:

John 4:21,23-24

Jesus replied, “Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem.

But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.

For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

Until man understands this, man remains in bondage. You can self-justify yourself by doing man-made laws (they are so mundane, you wonder why anyone will fall for it), but by accepting God's own salvation plan which He has finished.

John 3:16-19

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

“There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.

And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.

A wonder that one will run from Christ on earth when at the end of this life, we all have to face Him. We need to be wise.

2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.

Revelation 1:7,18

Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. And everyone will see him— even those who pierced him.

And all the nations of the world will mourn for him.

Yes! Amen!

I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.

Glory to God.

Thank You Lord for what You did for us. I take full advantage of it.

He calls us blessed.
