ARE YOU ON YOUR FIELD - ARE YOU DOING GOOD?

Titus 3:14 

And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

Titus 3:14

Our people must learn to do good by meeting the urgent needs of others; then they will not be unproductive.

The children of God's kingdom are known to do good, yes it is our nature. Every teaching points to that very fact and why is it so?

Matthew 5:45

In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.

It is because we are like our Heavenly Father.

Who takes the glory?

Matthew 5:16

In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

We must understand that all that God made was by default good, for those that want to argue this?

Genesis 1:31

Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.

Liberty gave man the choice to make wrong decision, same for others who were created that way. (Glory to God that man did not go to the point of "no-return")

However man's salvation was not in his good works but in the finished work of Christ. For what man lost was his soul, the same way Esau lost his birthright for a plate of porridge.

So all the heaps of religions, sects and believe systems are all in the aim of filling that void that was created when man separated from God because of the sin of one man. Since then man has been seeking purpose and relevance. Even the acclaimed atheists have the believe system centered on God . . . ". . .there is no God"

The believer is one who finally gets home, leaving the going round in circles, for though God has called all, many may not accept, those who accept are the chosen.

Titus 1:1-3

This letter is from Paul, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ. I have been sent to proclaim faith to those God has chosen and to teach them to know the truth that shows them how to live godly lives.

This truth gives them confidence that they have eternal life, which God—who does not lie—promised them before the world began.

And now at just the right time he has revealed this message, which we announce to everyone. It is by the command of God our Savior that I have been entrusted with this work for him.

Our duty then as the chosen is to do good, for it is our very nature:

Ephesians 2:10

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Listen, the evils in our lands today that emanate from those who claim to be part of the faith is as a result of the wrong believe system. Your faith is not a part time work, your faith is your faith whether at home, in spiritual gatherings, at work, or wherever. The believer has only one personality and the summary is to do good for even Christ did good:

Acts 10:38

And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

Our good is not by compulsion, not enforced by man, not like the Pharisees and sadduccess of old but motivated by God's very nature and empowered by His Spirit.

So, many claim to be called by God to pastor, but in the same city where there are already thousands ministering - the mission fields still lay bare. Are they truthful? All the villages, creeks and empoverished places are not to be reached out to for the gospel but the already fertile grounds are where this set of funny people are sent(a little apology for the sacarcism). 

The truth must be told if the Lord is sending you out it will be on a new field not where has already been over-harvested, just members moving from one denomination to another. Search yourself ministers!

Luke 10:2

These were his instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.

A great initiative to open "church" in every street, but come on, are souls really being saved, or has it just become a business centre or a noisy lot. Help us Lord.

Listen, many going to open their own "church" ought to collaborate with their present denominations to reach out to the main mission fields, funds from those who are already establish to help those in those areas in need. Selah (You don't have to open a church or ministry, it is already overloaded)

Titus 3:13-14

Do everything you can to help Zenas the lawyer and Apollos with their trip. See that they are given everything they need.

Our people must learn to do good by meeting the urgent needs of others; then they will not be unproductive.

Do we know that school, office, that government position, that diaspora etc, is a mission field?

See, you could be so busy in "church" activities and yet be spiritually unproductive (God forbid), we must really get serious with our call.

What are you doing on your field? Are you playing your part?

The Lord give us more understanding.

Are you doing Good?

He calls us blessed.
