NO COMPASSION FOR OUTSIDERS
Acts 22:21-23
“But the Lord said to me, ‘Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles!’”
The crowd listened until Paul said that word. Then they all began to shout, “Away with such a fellow! He isn’t fit to live!”
They yelled, threw off their coats, and tossed handfuls of dust into the air.
We must understand that one of the reason Christ was hated by the Jews, actually the leaders and teachers, is the emphasizes that they are rejected. Remember that the annoyance of Cain that led him to kill his brother was the fact that his sacrifice was rejected while that of Abel was accepted.
Listen brethren:
The rejection is always about one thing - disobedience!
From Cain to Lot's wife, to Achaia to King Saul the reason for rejection is disobedience!
In the first book of Samuel, Prophet Samuel told King Saul that God was more interested in obedience than sacrifice.
Hosea 2:23
At that time I will plant a crop of Israelites and raise them for myself.
I will show love to those I called ‘Not loved.’
And to those I called ‘Not my people,’
I will say, ‘Now you are my people.’
And they will reply, ‘You are our God!’”
The people of Israel felt they had the birthright thus they lived anyhow and rebelled against the Lord. What next but there replacement. Instead of repenting and turning back many of them decided to hate.
Matthew 21:31-32,43,45-46
“Which of the two obeyed his father?”They replied, “The first.”Then Jesus explained his meaning: “I tell you the truth, corrupt tax collectors and prostitutes will get into the Kingdom of God before you do.
For John the Baptist came and showed you the right way to live, but you didn’t believe him, while tax collectors and prostitutes did. And even when you saw this happening, you refused to believe him and repent of your sins.
I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation that will produce the proper fruit.
When the leading priests and Pharisees heard this parable, they realized he was telling the story against them—they were the wicked farmers.
They wanted to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowds, who considered Jesus to be a prophet.
A proverb says that a dog that is destined to get lost does not hear the sound of the whistle of it's master.
We must be instructed, many who have lost it and move around with faded glory or anointing, are those who have become confident in the flesh, they feel they have arrived and that they have all the authority and right to heaven thus they can live anyhow. They boast and claim authority that is not theirs to take.
When Paul was speaking and got to the part where . . .
Acts 22:21-22
“But the Lord said to me, ‘Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles!’”
The crowd listened until Paul said that word. Then they all began to shout, “Away with such a fellow! He isn’t fit to live!”
They could not just bear the part where salvation would be brought to the gentiles. Wow
What exactly did they bring to the table? Have they even been faithful enough. They have no idea how big the Heavenly Father is and that He is the God of all creation. Salvation is not merited, it is given by the Saviour Himself and received by man who needs it. Glory to God.
John 3:16
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Everyone has been called by the Heavenly Father, He has given Himself through His Word, His Son Jesus the Christ, what more do we need? The price have been paid, not just for a certain people but for the whole world. No one has an excuse NOT to have this life. Wait a minute, what is man without the Heavenly Father? NOTHING
Titus 2:11
For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.
No one is left out, the salvation is for all. Funny enough those who claim special place do not even pass the worthy test. Selah
Thank You Lord for Your Salvation.
He calls us Blessed.
