COUNTERFEIT

Acts 19:15-16

But one time when they tried it, the evil spirit replied, “I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?”

Then the man with the evil spirit leaped on them, overpowered them, and attacked them with such violence that they fled from the house, naked and battered.

Every good thing has a counterfeit, truly for the scripture says:

2 Corinthians 11:14-15

But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

So it is no wonder that his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. In the end they will get the punishment their wicked deeds deserve.

Yes in the spiritual realm there is a counterfeit of what we have in the heavens, this is why it is good to study yourself approved. Each time we deviate away from God's designed purpose or walk in disobedience, we are at the risk of falling into the counterfeit from the enemy.

See, from the very beginning, man (and woman) was given dominion, the enemy sold to man (through the woman) a counterfeit dominion, that he can never get, that he could be like the Most High. Understand that man was already in the image of the Most High. He already had dominion. Selah

Genesis 1:28 

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

(Do you know that some ministers promise their followers what Christ never promised them, same with false religions or sects?)

Thus in now seeking to contest with the Most High, man fell below what he was already. For even the enemy tried it and also fell.

Remember that the enemy has no major job but . . .

1 Peter 5:8

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

So, the seven sons of Sceva went about trying to do what Paul was doing. They wanted to cast out demons, heal the sick etc, without first being converted, saved and receiving the seal(the Holy Spirit). "E shock them".

Then the man with the evil spirit leaped on them, overpowered them, and attacked them with such violence that they fled from the house, naked and battered.

They did not understand that the Heavenly Father does not just waste His gifts. Listen:

Acts 19:11

God gave Paul the power to perform unusual miracles.

He was given this power specially for his assignment, not just for show!

1 Corinthians 12:7

A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.

Today we have so many religions and belief systems, even in the secular church, it has always been so, however God called all unto one truth and that truth is in His Son Yeshua Hamaschiach, Jesus the Christ. Listen to what He said:

John 10:9 

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Yes there are so many lies out there, even publicly expounded in the various media, but the truth remains. We cannot afford to attach to any counterfeit, no matter how well it has been packaged. For the truth will always be revealed at the end, most times it is too late.

Study the Word!

Revelation 1:7 

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they [also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

I stay with the truth, I walk in the truth, I am in the truth. So help me Dear Lord.
