UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE READING

Acts 8:29-30,35

The Holy Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and walk along beside the carriage.”

Philip ran over and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah. Philip asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?”

So beginning with this same Scripture, Philip told him the Good News about Jesus.

We must get this right! THE WHOLE OF SCRIPTURES IS ALL ABOUT Yeshua Hamaschiach, Jesus the Christ, if you miss this, you miss everything!

The book of Acts gives us the record of the Ethiopian eunuch who travelled all the way to Jerusalem to partake in the Passover feast. This most likely implies that He loved the God the Israelites worshipped, we will see this testimony also from Cornelius and other foreigners.

Most likely these people might have had a lineage that encountered the God of Israel and His mighty works in times of old. An example is Naman the Syrian army general who got his skin cleansed from leprosy, definitely he would have returned to teach his generation to serve the God of Israel, remember he asked the prophet for earth that he could worship God in his own country.

Now all these were leading to one thing. The salvation of the world. For truly there is only one God and that was the God the Israelites worshipped.

Israel was just the link by which salvation was to reach the whole world. They rebelled and sinned against God but God was yet patient with them for he had chosen them. Remember when the Lord would have whipped them out and replaced them with another nation but Moses pleaded on their behalf:

Exodus 32:11,13-14

But Moses tried to pacify the lord his God. “O  Lord!” he said. “Why are you so angry with your own people whom you brought from the land of Egypt with such great power and such a strong hand?

Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. You bound yourself with an oath to them, saying, ‘I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven. And I will give them all of this land that I have promised to your descendants, and they will possess it forever.’”

So the Lord changed his mind about the terrible disaster he had threatened to bring on his people.

So it was leading to one end, one purpose, the revelation of the Son. Even the Jewish leaders knew this:

Matthew 2:3-5

King Herod was deeply disturbed when he heard this, as was everyone in Jerusalem.

He called a meeting of the leading priests and teachers of religious law and asked, “Where is the Messiah supposed to be born?”

“In Bethlehem in Judea,” they said, “for this is what the prophet wrote:

So the religious teachers and leaders all knew about the coming Messiah, however it was a limited knowledge they did not have a clue that the very God they served was coming to earth, for in Him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily:

Colossians 2:8-9

Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ.

For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.

So you cannot tell me you are reading the Torah, the record of Christ life on earth, the letters of the apostles or the prophesies and you are not revealing Christ, NO, you can never have the understanding. For the Word of God is Christ Jesus Himself:

John 1:1-4

In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.

He existed in the beginning with God.

God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.

The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.

Get it right, the Word is part of the Heavenly Father, He created all things including you through His Word, so you cannot serve or worship Him without His Word.

I repeat again, all who said they saw God in the old testament actually encountered Christ:

John 8:56

Your father Abraham rejoiced as he looked forward to my coming. He saw it and was glad.”

See all trying to interpret scriptures without Christ Jesus have failed already. They will end up with philosophy and all types of myths and arguments. 

That is why some sect would say: O Jesus went face down to pray, so He was from this religion or that, O what foolishness. The world being full of it's type of knowledge and philosophy, can make one lose their relationship with the Heavenly Father. Through all teaching of prayer from Christ or His disciples, do we hear any mention of position or posture?

Think WHY? Simple, it is not your body that interacts with the Heavenly Father. The two elements of prayer is the Spirit and the Word simple:

John 4:23-24

But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.

For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

Enough of all these confusions, religiousness and philosophy of men(religion is actually man-made). It is time for all to come to the truth and the Word is truth:

John 17:14,17

I have given them your word. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.

Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.

You can never understand the Word except you come to the Word(truth)

John 14:6

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

The painful thing is when we leave this world, the truth is open to us all, what will you do then? Cry or Rejoice?

Walk in the truth.

The Ethiopian eunuch got the truth and went on rejoicing, I believe through Him the word of God spread all over Ethiopia. Don't stay around the word, don't let all those philosophical clerics keep you in deceit and bondage forever, come to Christ Jesus, for He came to set the captives free:

Acts 4:11-12

For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, 

‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’

There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

Live here for Him and in Him, then eternity is assured yet with Him again. It is not a gamble it is real, the true reality.
