SABOTEUR

Acts 5:3-4

Then Peter said, “Ananias, why have you let Satan fill your heart? You lied to the Holy Spirit, and you kept some of the money for yourself.

The property was yours to sell or not sell, as you wished. And after selling it, the money was also yours to give away. How could you do a thing like this? You weren’t lying to us but to God!”

It was not long the church began, all was going well among brethren, we see the love, fellowship, the oneness and the sharing - then comes a saboteur.

Listen again to the statements of Peter:

1. why allow Satan fill your heart;

2. why lie to the Holy Spirit;

3. why keep back some of the money;

4. the property was yours even after you sold it, the money was still yours;

5. they were not lying to man, but to God.

So why?

Before we say Peter was too harsh, let us understand that Ananais was mocking God, he neither had the right motive nor took seriously what was going on spiritually in the church. It was God He was playing around with.

See, despite all the rubbish going on today all in the name of the Lord, the Lord cannot be taken for granted, NO, the fact that His angels do not strike immediately as in the case of Ananais, his wife and even Herod, does not mean He will not yet deal with these perpetrators of evil (in the name of the Lord).

What is it? Must one show off? Why come in front of the people and tell a lie calling it a testimony? Why stage a miracle? Why talk of one spiritual exploit or another that is not real? Why display that you have money in the name of bazaar or launch?

Why draw unnecessary attention to yourself? What is humans' problem? What is wrong with us?

From time, some of the so called leaders have allowed themselves to be corrupt, some are even more guilty than those they are supposed to lead or take care of, then how can judgment or correction be done?

When exactly did the true heart of christian leaders get corrupted? For there was a time when the world power took over the church and introduced a lot of unscriptural and anti-Christ practices, yet even those years of bondage was yet to bring the gospel of Christ to the whole world. Where did we miss it?

God are the days when a leader comes into the midst of brethren and by prophesy and discernment begin to admonish brethren of the evils they had done when they thought no one was watching. Where is true correction and edification.O revive us Lord.

In all, our conclusion should be, no matter who the saboteurs are, I AM NOT ONE!

For we must know whom we are and remain true to Him who set us free from the power of sin and death and has kept an inheritance for us in eternity.

Help us Good Lord.

Jude 1:24-25

Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault.

All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen.
