HE MAKES IT WORK FOR GOOD
Acts 8:1
And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.
Looking through scriptures and after walking with the Lord for some time, you begin to understand this scripture as spoken by Paul:
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.
Yes, we cannot stop trails, temptation and persecutions from happening, but when we are of the Lord He works it out for our good.
The truth is that His purpose and promises are yes and amen. The challenge might be a delay but it can never be a denial.
2Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in him [are] yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
So we see that great persecution arose in the church starting from the murder of Stephen, which I believe gave boldness to Saul who later become Paul, to go after believers from house to house causing havoc:
Acts 8:3
As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed [them] to prison.
It was a terrible time, believers had to flee to distance countries, scriptures say only the apostles stayed behind:
Acts 8:1b
And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.
We must recall what we read earlier, no matter the crises, challenges, persecution or seeming delay, the Lord's will must be done. It will always work out for our good.
When Joseph's brother's betrayed and sold him into slavery, it yet worked out for the good.
When Daniel's counterparts plotted against him and led to his being thrown into the Lions den, it still worked out for the good.
. . . and many more examples in scriptures.
Truly as a believer when you look back at all the challenges and difficulties you passed through, at that time it may look so painful and even look as if it is the end. You may have cried or even asked God WHY? Today you can only look back and give thanks to the Heavenly Father, for it may have been difficult and painful but it worked for your good. They made you experienced and strong. Yes, it will always work for our good.
So the believers were scattered all over from Judea and Samaria because of persecution, but listen:
Acts 8:4
But the believers who were scattered preached the Good News about Jesus wherever they went.
Acts 8:4
Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.
Glory to the Heavenly Father!
So no matter where you go or what you are going through, don't let go of your call, anointing or gift, it may be persecution or difficulty today, but very soon you will see the good.
Bless the Lord O my soul, for all things work for my good. The Lord's will must be done.
He calls us blessed.
