ONCE AND FOR ALL

Hebrews 9:28

so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.

Now let's get this, the price was paid once and for all, HOWEVER, the salvation is concluded at His return or at our leaving the earth:

Reading the above verse in combination with it's preceding verse, we get the message: 👇

Hebrews 9:27-28

And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.

Let us look deeper into this:

1 Peter 1:3-5

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay.

And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.

Our status has been established but we have not yet attained, thus we are not careless.

Matthew 24:13

But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Christ explained this with parables, one of them is the parables of the wheat and tares (Matthew 13:24-30)

So the redemption is done once, but we have to live out the time before the final appearing. When our salvation will be revealed. Through this time we stay faithful.

Luke 18:8

I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?”

The work has been done, once and for all. Glory to God. We must not get distracted.

So, we must stay awake, pastors, teachers, ministers, leaders and all believers. What should we be doing are we just chasing the perishable and leaving the imperishable?

Christ asked Peter:

John 21:15,17

After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”“Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.”“Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him.

A third time he asked him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.”Jesus said, “Then feed my sheep.

This is why we have the Holy Spirit, not for earthly pleasure, self gratification or to feel special(I know what I am emphasizing)

Ephesians 4:11-12

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.

Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.

While we wait for the final salvation when Christ returns.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.
