HE CAN HANDLE IT

1 Peter 5:7 (KJV) 

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

1 Peter 5:7 (NLT) 

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

As a child I used to wonder how the Heavenly Father could handle all the requests and prayers we raise to Him from all parts of the earth. One is asking for rain while the other is asking for sunshine and both living in the same area. Requests varying from one part of the globe, to the other, people wanting healing, some food, other conquests, promotions, deliverance, children, money and the lists is endless. How does He cope with all these? 

Well He said He can! 

Isaiah 59:1 

Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

His Word can reach anywhere and He accomplishes all He sent Him to do:

Isaiah 55:10-11 

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it.

When the Word of God was revealed (Christ Jesus) He said:

Matthew 11:26-28

Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way!

“My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

Then Peter revealed:

1 Peter 5:7 

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Look at these two words: *COME and *CAST

It is a total responsibility, Christ is saying I will take total responsibility for you, all you need to do is submit. 

See the preceding verse to 1Peter 5:7

1 Peter 5:6a

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God

Our role is submission. 

The new age teachers will ask, does this mean I fold my hands and do nothing? 

NO

We do but we DO by obedience. 

Proverbs 3:5-7

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.

Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the lord and turn away from evil.

Thus Christ, in explaining why the Father would never leave Him:

John 8:29

And the one who sent me is with me—he has not deserted me. For I always do what pleases him.”

Paul also talked on this:

1 Thessalonians 4:1

Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more.

So the key is obedience, it is one thing for the Lord to instruct you, it is another to obey. 

Nothing is too big for Him to handle, He can never get tired of your prayers or overburdened by your requests. He said COME, CAST ALL and He said He CARES. 

So we COME, we CAST as we humble ourselves to the Heavenly Father. 

Truly all is well with us.
