A NEW DISPENSATION

Hebrews 12:14-16

Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.

Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.

Make sure that no one is immoral or godless like Esau, who traded his birthright as the firstborn son for a single meal.

There is a NEW dispensation, the old is done away with. The old has to do with law and death, Moses defined it, for he was the messenger of the law following up where the prophets. However we must remember that they were shadows of things to come, they were earthy.

It was all about the earth, this is why man could not come boldly, listen:

Hebrews 12:18-21

You have not come to a physical mountain, to a place of flaming fire, darkness, gloom, and whirlwind, as the Israelites did at Mount Sinai.

For they heard an awesome trumpet blast and a voice so terrible that they begged God to stop speaking.

They staggered back under God’s command: “If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned to death.”

Moses himself was so frightened at the sight that he said, “I am terrified and trembling.”

This is what the old covenant was about, fear and death, it was restricted to the earth, man was not regenerated, so man could not really fellowship. Many today are still trapped in this bondage all in the name of religion, denominations or sects. There is a new dispensation, God has cone down to man, in His Son, the Living Word, Yeshua Hamaschiach, Jesus the Christ.

Hebrews 12:22-24

No, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to countless thousands of angels in a joyful gathering.

You have come to the assembly of God’s firstborn children, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God himself, who is the judge over all things. You have come to the spirits of the righteous ones in heaven who have now been made perfect.

You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.

It is established in His Son.

John 4:21,23-24,26

Jesus replied, “Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem.

But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.

For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

Then Jesus told her, “i am the Messiah!”

John 3:13,15-16,18

No one has ever gone to heaven and returned. But the Son of Man has come down from heaven.

so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life.

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

“There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.

John 1:12-14

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.

So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

It is a new dispensation: when the law came, the Heavenly Father shook the earth, but when the Son was revealed the Heavenly Father shook both the heavens and the earth:

Hebrews 12:26-27

When God spoke from Mount Sinai his voice shook the earth, but now he makes another promise: “Once again I will shake not only the earth but the heavens also.”

This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain.

What does this imply? It implies that nothing is left, no other way, no other salvation, no other message, He is the alpha and omega, that is why He said on the cross:

John 19:30

When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and released his spirit.

The work has been done, the new dispensation had come. Glory to God.

So what should we do, do we take it for granted? NO. We should even be more careful, for there is no other salvation, this is the final hope. So we please God by worshipping in reverence and holy fear.

Hebrews 12:28-29

Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe.

For our God is a devouring fire.

Woe to those who have turned ministry to a secular business venture, woe unto those who leave the call to join a cult, woe unto those who practice and encourage sin in the name of the Lord. Their destruction is close.

Blessed are those who remain faithful and encourage others to be faithful. There consolation abd reward is near.

DO NOT SELL YOUR BIRTHRIGHT, nothing is worth the exchange.

We have grace to finish well, Christ has done the work for us, so we sit with Him in the Heavenly.

Ephesians 2:6

For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.

Remember the opening verse:

* live in peace with everyone;

* live a holy life;

* look after one another (love);

* don't allow the root of bitterness to grow;

* don't be immoral or godless:

* don't sell your birthright.

Salvation is NOT exchangeable.  Mark 8:36.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.
