Matthew 26:52,54,56

“Put away your sword,” Jesus told him. “Those who use the sword will die by the sword.

But if I did, how would the Scriptures be fulfilled that describe what must happen now?”

But this is all happening to fulfill the words of the prophets as recorded in the Scriptures.” At that point, all the disciples deserted him and fled.


One peak moment of the believers journey is when they can clearly hear the voice of the Lord. It has three components direct revelation, dreams and visions. No matter which it is, there must always be one clarifier - the Word of God. 


This gives you the confidence to take the step. We must not forget that without the word, faith cannot be. 


Romans 10:17 

So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.


Having in mind that Christ Jesus is the Word of God. 


It is simple, you either believe or you do not. 


So Christ went up with three other disciples leaving the others. He asked the three to watch with Him as He went further to pray. We recall that He came back three times and each time found them sleeping. 


See, when we do not pray we do not get to understand the spiritual agenda thus we end up fighting the wrong battles. Spiritual ignorance is promoted when we do not study and pray, thus we cannot act wisely. 


James 1:19-20

Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.


Ephesians 5:15,17

So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise.

Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.


We must understand what the Lord wants us to do in every situation, however without prayers we would not. Remember, even Christ continued in prayer. 


A song from Third Day comes to mind:


"Give me a revelation

Show me what to do

'Cause I've been trying

To find my way

I haven't got a clue

Tell me should I stay here

Or do I need to move?

Give me a revelation

I've got nothing without You

I've got nothing without You"


There is nothing like being led by the Lord. 


Psalms 37:23-24

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.

Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.


We avoid so much stress, worries and troubles when we learn to listen to the Lord. It is not that He is not speaking, but we are not tuned to hear. Unless you are in the right frequency you will not get the broadcast. 


We will not fight unnecessary battles. 


Lead us Heavenly Father lead us, help us to pray without ceasing, that in all our doings we will be in your will, we will take the right decisions, we will declare your victory. Thank you Lord. 


He calls us blessed.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out.
