GOING WITH THE FLOW
Matthew 27:11-14
Now Jesus was standing before Pilate, the Roman governor. “Are you the king of the Jews?” the governor asked him.Jesus replied, “You have said it.”
But when the leading priests and the elders made their accusations against him, Jesus remained silent.
“Don’t you hear all these charges they are bringing against you?” Pilate demanded.
But Jesus made no response to any of the charges, much to the governor’s surprise.
It is easy to go with the flow when you know what the will of the Lord is, for in this generation it seems that we are too carried away with the things of this life that we do not even know when to let things be.
Christ ascertained who He was, the other things being said didn't matter to Him, His focus was on the cross, so He endured all the accusations.
1 Peter 4:14-16
If you are insulted because you bear the name of Christ, you will be blessed, for the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you.
If you suffer, however, it must not be for murder, stealing, making trouble, or prying into other people’s affairs.
But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his name!
Christ made the sacrifice, we do not have to make that same sacrifice, however we have a role to play in the course of things on this earth.
These are times when knowledge abound and just at a click of a button information is at the finger tips. How are we influencing the world around us? While we stay silent or idle a lot of seeds are sown around the world by those who try so hard to contradict the truth. While so called believers are pursuing money, fame and relevance, the powers that be keep sowing seeds of doubt, unbelieve and duality to the weak. Even the strong are being led astray.
Where are the perfect examples, where are the true teachers, where are the people of faith, who is paying the price who is actually doing the work?
2 Corinthians 5:18-21
And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.
So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
Whose flow are we going with, that of the Father or that of the world?
Help us Good Lord.
He calls us blessed.
