FORCED TO ACKNOWLEDGE

Matthew 27:50-52,54

Then Jesus shouted out again, and he released his spirit.

At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart, and tombs opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead.

The Roman officer and the other soldiers at the crucifixion were terrified by the earthquake and all that had happened. They said, “This man truly was the Son of God!”


After all said and done, the truth will be revealed and what is the truth?


Jesus brought the truth. 


John 8:40

Instead, you are trying to kill me because I told you the truth, which I heard from God. Abraham never did such a thing.


He was the truth:


John 14:6

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.


The manifestation at the site of Christ's crucifixion showed those who witnessed it that He was no ordinary man. 


Matthew 27:54

The Roman officer and the other soldiers at the crucifixion were terrified by the earthquake and all that had happened. They said, “This man truly was the Son of God!”


Up till today His sacrifice atones for all the world. It will continue till the end of times. Amidst the pain, the mockery, the delay and the uncertainty we must keep faith for the Lord will yet do His will. 


Whether they believed or not, all will come to the knowledge of Him and see Him when He returns. 


At the end, those who endured will receive a crown of glory. We are among these. Glory to God. 


He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out.
