ARE YOU SURE?

Matthew 26:33,35

Peter declared, “Even if everyone else deserts you, I will never desert you.”

“No!” Peter insisted. “Even if I have to die with you, I will never deny you!” And all the other disciples vowed the same.

So arrogantly sure, you might say, but really one could be passionate of the battle till the battle begins.

This is why it is dangerous to lead one to Christ with what He did not promise. He did not call us into earthly pleasures but eternal inheritance. That is, we gain here but with persecution and eternally with no more tears. Selah

Mark 10:30

will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property—along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life.

John 16:33

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

Yes, there are so many blessings the Lord promises us here on earth, however He did say that we will face challenges. So when they do come we face them having in mind that He has already overcome, we have the victory. Glory to God.

So before you say you are above that temptation, have you been tested?

*Don’t tell me how much integrity you have till you have been offered much reward and you rejected

*Don't tell me how fidel you are until you have been tempted of infidelity time and again but you resisted and fled.

* Don't tell me how much you love the Lord if you do not obey Him

* Don't tell me how you love to serve the Lord, if you do not reach out to the lost

* Don't tell me how much you love to give the Lord if you have never given all

* Don't tell me how much self control you have until you have been hard pressed and yet do not yield

All these statements are not to make us look guilty or be self righteous but to let us understand that before we begin to castigate Peter and the other disciples, we should well have faced imminent death and stood our ground.

It is easy to do the talking until the challenge comes.

This is why we do not get too relaxed, we put on the whole armour of God.

Ephesians 6:13

Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.

The talk is easy but living the life is the work.

So help us Good Lord. We will live the life of faith, we will teach our children to live likewise. We will not deny Him neither will we abandon Him. We are people of faith.

He calls us blessed.

Love
