WHO IS STOPPING YOU?
Matthew 20:31-32
“Be quiet!” the crowd yelled at them. But they only shouted louder, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”
When Jesus heard them, he stopped and called, “What do you want me to do for you?”
Opposition is not a strange thing, anything worth its while will face opposition. Truly it is the one who wears the shoe that knows where it pinches.
Begin any step ahead, or reach out of the crowd, there is high probability that someone will see you as a nuisance. Really these ones that feel offended most likely have nothing to offer you.
You have a business plan, you want to take a forward academic step, you want to become a better person. You are moved to reach out to someone or some people. Expect oppositions.
So in our reading today, we see Jesus walking from Jericho and a crowd followed Him, then two blind men on the way side cried out for help. Who had the help? - Jesus the Christ -, who felt offended? - the crowd, they had nothing to offer for they followed, they also needed help. Yet, we see them getting offended with the blind men.
They might have said, we who can see have not received from Him, then you disabled want to receive from Him.
Matthew 20:31a
“Be quiet!” the crowd yelled at them.
Did the blind men relent? NO, they even shouted louder:
Matthew 20:31
“Be quiet!” the crowd yelled at them. But they only shouted louder, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”
See, believer giving up is not an option. It is certain that the Lord can do it, will He do it, is another thing. Don't relent.
1Thessalonians 5:17
Pray without ceasing.
Luke 18:1
One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.
But what was Christ's reaction:
Matthew 20:34
Jesus felt sorry for them and touched their eyes. Instantly they could see! Then they followed him.
Listen, the Lord will entrust to you the gifts, power and anointing if you bear the right spirit. Have you noticed that the motivation of most of Christ's healings and feeding was compassion, which is birthed by Love?
... moved with compassion...
I have always said that it is abnormal to seek to lead people you do not love.
Most people who are proud, conceited and want to bully you, really may have nothing to offer you. Look at all the religious leaders in the days when Jesus walked on this earth as a man. They could not help the people in any way, yet they wanted to bind them in bondage of the law. Have you noticed that in many religions we have today their religious laws only bind the poor. While the upper class steal, loot the common wealth and commit all types of atrocities, however when a common man offends they remember the laws.
Don’t be trapped, Jesus came to set us free. He came to bring us into the Heavenly Father's kingdom.
What is opposing you, who or what is stopping you from moving forward, who is that barrier, human, angel, prophets, religious leader, dead or living who is the stumbling block that is preventing you from enjoying full relationship with the Heavenly Father through the only way He has provided - Jesus the Christ. It is time to be free!
Romans 8:38-39
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
He calls us blessed.
