SEE THE GLORY

Matthew 20:17-19

As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside privately and told them what was going to happen to him.

“Listen,” he said, “we’re going up to Jerusalem, where the Son of Man will be betrayed to the leading priests and the teachers of religious law. They will sentence him to die.

Then they will hand him over to the Romans to be mocked, flogged with a whip, and crucified. But on the third day he will be raised from the dead.”

Reading through the three verses in Matthew 20:17-19, did you see it?

Now I have listened to some religions and religious people on their take on why Yeshua, Jesus the Christ came to this earth. Some other religions would even want you to think that He is just a man because He called Himself "the son of man", what ignorance. He healed the sick, forgave sins, controlled, the wind, waves and seas and did so many things that no books can contain, to show us who He was:

John 21:25

Jesus also did many other things. If they were all written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written.

And anyone dare to compare Him to a prophet or any man that lived. Wake up.

His reason for His coming He made clear:

Matthew 20:18-19

“Listen,” he said, “we’re going up to Jerusalem, where the Son of Man will be betrayed to the leading priests and the teachers of religious law. They will sentence him to die.

Then they will hand him over to the Romans to be mocked, flogged with a whip, and crucified. But on the third day he will be raised from the dead.”

He came to die that all men can have access to salvation. We are reconciled by His blood. Simple.

So why waste your time with angels, prophets, Mary, dead Saints etc. Hello listen:

Hebrews 12:2

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

His coming was very clear!

Now back to the question: did you see it?

Matthew 20:17-19 looked like a sad tale, a sorrow, yes it was, but the last line holds the focus, the goal, the refreshing "BUT" . . .

. . . But on the third day he will be raised from the dead

Yes, the glory, we could just focus on the pain but do we see the gain? People or your carnal mind may just want you to focus on the pain but see beyond the pain to the glory.

For to win your eyes must be on the goal and not the hurdle. For the hurdle is meant to be overcome.

Don’t give up, don't let fear stay, see the finishing line, see the glory.

1 Peter 5:10

In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.

Victory is yours. Glory to God.

He calls us blessed.

Love
