Matthew 20:25-27
But Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers in this world lord it over their people, and officials flaunt their authority over those under them.
But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant,
and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave.
There is a way of the world and there is the way of the Lord. Thus, those who will inherit God's kingdom, cannot operate the system of the world. This is what Christ taught.
Mother of James and John came to lobby for their children, she wanted each one of her children to sit at each side of Christ's throne in His kingdom.
She did not know the price attached to the victory, the suffering and pain, then death, which Christ was going to go through. Christ also let her understand that they would go through persecution leading to death too. Yet still, only the Heavenly Father can decide positions in the kingdom.
Matthew 20:22-23
But Jesus answered by saying to them, “You don’t know what you are asking! Are you able to drink from the bitter cup of suffering I am about to drink?”“Oh yes,” they replied, “we are able!”
Jesus told them, “You will indeed drink from my bitter cup. But I have no right to say who will sit on my right or my left. My Father has prepared those places for the ones he has chosen.”
People struggle for leadership here on earth and most times they do not think of the work and sacrifice attached to it. For to whom much is given much is expected.
Consider the Heavenly Father, look at how many uncountable requests that comes to Him, day after day.
There is need for everyone to understand true leadership for every leader will yet give account to the Heavenly Father.
For if most African leaders understood their true responsibility as leaders, many of them leading now, would have no business in government.
Hello believer, to receive the crown of glory, you must do the work and take good care of those under your care. Listen:
1 Peter 5:2-4
Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God.
Don’t lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example.
And when the Great Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of never-ending glory and honor.
The Lord have mercy on us. We will do the right things, we are accepted of the Lord. We will receive the crown of glory.
Glory to the Heavenly Father.
He calls us blessed.
Love
@the watcher.
