ENDURE TO THE END

Matthew 24:12-13

Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.

But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

When exactly is the end? Actually the end can come in two ways, when the Lord returns or when the Lord takes anyone out of the earth. 

The whole essence of our faith is that we find ourselves in God’s right side at the end. See, everyone will rise from the dead, the issue is rising to what! For the Lord described two possibility:

John 5:28-29

Don’t be so surprised! Indeed, the time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God’s Son, and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to experience eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience judgment.

2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.

Thus we do not live anyhow like the ignorant do, for the bible said concerning the people at the time of Noah and to the people of Sodom:

Luke 17:27-30

In those days, the people enjoyed banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat and the flood came and destroyed them all.

“And the world will be as it was in the days of Lot. People went about their daily business—eating and drinking, buying and selling, farming and building— until the morning Lot left Sodom. Then fire and burning sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.

Yes, it will be ‘business as usual’ right up to the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

Yes it will be business as usual till Christ is revealed, those of us who will be here on earth will be living our normal lives when He will appear. The wise thing is to always be ready. 

I have read one or two posts of people on social media talking of renouncing their faith because of difficulties they pass through, see the Lord does not force anyone not like some religions and sects try to do, anyone who comes to the Heavenly Father must come by faith and of their own volition. Humans were created with the power of choice, this is the reason we can be judged. 

Think of it, we have billions of people on earth today, uncountable number have left the earth before we were even born and more billions are yet to be born - what makes you so special? 

Also, the Lord did not say we will not face challenges or difficulties, He actually said we will but that we should know that He has already won the victory. 

Thus giving up or giving in to whatever contradicts our salvation is not an option. It is only those who complete the race that should expect a price. Christ was very clear:

Matthew 24:13

But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Enduring what? Religion NO!, traditions of men, NO.

John 17:3,15,24-26

And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.

I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.

Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began!

“O righteous Father, the world doesn’t know you, but I do; and these disciples know you sent me.

I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.”

A lot of things, practices and mundane things have been added by different sects, but Christ was clear about our salvation and what the Heavenly Father is interested in. What a waste to run the race and find out that you are on the wrong track. Remember:

Matthew 7:13-14

“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way.

But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

Glory to God. We remain faithful, we are not foolish to endure but wise, for what is the alternative, where is the loss? 

We will finish well. 

He calls us blessed.
