A PURPOSEFUL LIFE
Matthew 21:3-5
If anyone asks what you are doing, just say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and he will immediately let you take them.”
This took place to fulfill the prophecy that said,
“Tell the people of Jerusalem, ‘Look, your King is coming to you.
He is humble, riding on a donkey - riding on a donkey’s colt.’”
Christ lived a life of purpose when He was here on earth as a man. All His doings were according to prophesy fulfilling them as prophets prophesied of old. His triumphant entry into Jerusalem was foretold and all the things He did even His suffering, death and His resurrection.
One thing about living a purposeful life is that all things work out to fulfill that purpose. For the owner of the mission will supply all that is needed to make it happen. Many a spiritual leader will begin with the Lord's mandate but whether by lack of faith or distraction of people they begin to live like if they called themselves.
Instead of trusting in the Lord, they begin to trust in themselves, minding people and before long they seem to totally go off course and create their own mandate and call.
The Lord by His grace would bring everyone on assignment for Him who has derailed back to the right path.
As we go on this journey let us remember that we all have a purpose, yes we work, study, take up various forms of responsibility all in tune with our journey, we must never loose sight of the major assignment. One very important way to ensure this is to stay prayerful. Constant communication with the Father will ensure we are on track so that no matter how overwhelming it seems we do NOT go completely off course.
Mark 1:35
Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.
Luke 3:21-24, Mark 1:32&38, Luke 6:12-13, Matthew 14:23, we have about 25 instances were Christ separates Himself to go pray. If the Son of Man needed to stay in prayer this much, we very well do too.
Then we see that all things begin to fall in place. For look at it, why would I invest in what is not purposeful to me. Many a time people ask "Lord bless me with this, bless me with that etc".
The question is, FOR WHAT PURPOSE?
1John 5:14
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
Dear Lord may I stay in purpose, is there anyway I have derailed, please bring me back on track. May all I do please thee Dear Father.
He calls us blessed.
