THREE THINGS
Matthew 14:23
After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray. Night fell while he was there alone.
*Please read Matthew 14:22-36*
We learn at least three(3) things.
1. Never play with prayer, pray ceaselessly. For prayer must never be underated. Imagine that the Son, yes, the very Word of God started and ended with prayer, you cannot play with prayer. PRAY
(Prayer is not mere reciting something, it is not an incantation, it is your discussion, meeting, appeal, time out with your Heavenly Father)
John 4:23-24
But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.
For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”
Listen, He prayed in the solemn times and solemn places they resulted in open explosive move of the power of God. He was never out of tune. He was a man of prayer. What is our excuse.
2. Never lose focus of Him. Focus on who called you:
Matthew 14:29-30
“Yes, come,” Jesus said.So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.
But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted.
Who called you? Listen to Him, focus, fix your mind on Him. Yes, there is so much noise in the world, so many happenings, yet, never forget who you look up to. FOCUS. Psalm 91.
When you loose focus you most likely begin to sink. Ask Peter!
3. Release your Faith.
The same way Jesus entered His hometown and they were having offence with Him because they thought they knew Him (pidgin: "see finish") such that He could do no miracle there, it was a contrast at Gennesaret. They enjoyed massive healings:
Matthew 14:34-36
After they had crossed the lake, they landed at Gennesaret.
When the people recognized Jesus, the news of his arrival spread quickly throughout the whole area, and soon people were bringing all their sick to be healed.
They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed.
Hello believers, no matter the troubles in this world remember:
Romans 8:37-39
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The Lord has us covered. Glory to His Holy name.
Remember: PRAY - FOCUS - have FAITH.
He calls us blessed.
Love
@the watcher.
May the Lord help us
