LEADERSHIP IN OUR NATIONS

1 Timothy 2:2-3

Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.

This is good and pleases God our Savior,

Romans 13:1-2

Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.
So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished.

Thus it matters who rules us. 

Now does this imply that all that rule on earth are chosen by God? No, because man do have a say in who leads them.

Can anyone rule if God does not permit it? No, cause no one can bring to pass if the Lord had not permitted it.

However God expects us to respect authorities.

We definitely have a role to play in the type of leadership we have.

So we pray and speak into the leadership process, be it for our country, state, local government and wards, business organizations, churches and other leadership hubs, that above all, God's will be done.

For Jeremiah prophesied:

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

While we do our civic duty, we should not forget our spiritual role. Praying God's will to come to pass. For in the place of prayers we take control.

We do not have to wait till our liberty is taking away from us. We must remember that troubles, wars and pandemics are not new, almost every nation has gone through it and more will go through it. The world is not perfect, it is even reserved for destruction thus we must be wise as believers. 

2 Peter 3:7
And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed.

The church must arise from its slumber, truth must be her strong word, for Christ said that it is in truth that we have liberty. If the church stays distracted only interested in earthly gain, then what is her relevance? 

What does the future hold for this nation. Yes the world and all its attributes will pass away, yet we must first live our time. We must stay awake for ourselves, our children and our people. 

Lord take full control, let your will be done. 

It is well with our nation.

He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out. Please don't give up, God is still in control Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
