DO YOU KNOW HIM?
Matthew 16:16-17
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus replied, “You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being.
The truth about the Heavenly Father has gone through the whole world and it is only revealed through His Son, Yeshua, Jesus the Christ. However, we know that not all have believed. Some have but are struggling with religions, people's opinion, family or even the secular world. They refuse to submit to the Lord of all things because of earthly sentiment.
Matthew 16:13-14
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
“Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.”
What people call Christ doesn't matter, there are only two things that matter: Who He calls Himself(Who He is) and who you know Him as.
Why is the second important? It is because it determines on what terms you will meet Him. Family, stranger or foe. Selah
John 1:12
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
So He asked Peter:
Matthew 16:15
Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?”
Others say what they think, sects give their own opinion. However, who do you say Christ Jesus is? That matters!
Listen to Peter:
Matthew 16:16
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
Matthew 16:16
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Did he get it right? Yes
Matthew 16:17
Jesus replied, “You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being.
See all will hear about Jesus, they will hear about God's Word revealed to man and of course God's Word also reveals God to man. However will all accept Him as who He is? No
Yet, it is the role of all that believe to share this truth to all that they may know, for this is the salvation of man.
John 14:6,10
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me.
John 1:1-5
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He existed in the beginning with God.
God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.
The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
Christ had been with the Father even before the world began.
Listen to Jesus pray:
John 17:1-2,5
After saying all these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you.
For you have given him authority over everyone. He gives eternal life to each one you have given him.
Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began.
Listen again:
Colossians 1:15-17
Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth.
He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—
such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.
Do you know Him?
Bless your name Lord Jesus.
He calls us blessed.
Love
