THEY DID NOT KNOW HIM
Matthew 8:26-27
Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.
The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked. “Even the winds and waves obey him!”
Jesus had so much crowd around him, He had ministered for long, He needed rest, so He instructed the disciples to get a boat for them to cross to the other side.
As expected He had to rest, He was asleep. Then rose the storms and the waves threatening, it had covered the boat, naturally all were afraid. However, one person was asleep untroubled. Why?
If only they knew who was in the boat, at that time they had no idea. Yes they had seen miraculous healings, they had experienced some miracles. However this is a storm and heavy waves, a high tide.
If you have been in water(through the sea or ocean) for a long while, you will understand what these people felt. Where do you run to? If you jump out of the boat it is death, for you can't swim against the high tide or waves. If you stay in the boat, it could be crushed to pieces, the same tragedy. So obviously they had reason to fear greatly.

The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
However, they missed it for they did not know who was in the boat. They did not have enough faith not to fear!

We are talking of the very Word of God, the one through whom all things were made, why would the winds and waves not obey Him, "dem no reach!"
The same when storms and waves of life come to trouble us, don't they know who is in our boat, it is just mere noise, Jesus is in our boat, we activate faith.
Lets talk about us, we have Him living in us by His Spirit, but are we conscious of Him, do we know Him. Just as Christ was asleep in the boat, the Spirit is asleep in most of our lives. We have forgotten that He is there, or we have just ignored Him.
Romans 8:11
The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
Do we know Him, do you know what it is to have God inside you? If we do, we may not live the way we live, we would not even make the mistakes we make. We will be divine cast.
HELP US GOOD LORD!
Yes, for me and everyone else who has believed, how conscious are we of the power that the Lord has deposited in our inside, do we know our God? Do we have large faith?
Lord we return to you. We become conscious of who You are and your presence by your Spirit in us. We stir up faith, we trust you. Blessed is your Holy name. Halleluyah.
He calls us blessed.
