SCARY VERSE

Matthew 7:21-23
“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.
On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’
But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

These should be the most scary verses I have read in scriptures. Let us look at:

1. They are believers: Yes, for you cannot say Christ was talking to the Jews, they did not call Him Lord. Neither unbelieving Gentiles or religious folks, they also did not call Him Lord.

2. They had the Spirit: yes they displayed the gifts - prophesied, cast out demons etc (You may display the gifts yet rebel/resist His fruit/nature)

3. They did all these things in the name of Christ,. . . working of miracles etc

Yet. . .
"... But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’... "

Doesn't that jolt you?

No wonder the scriptures recorded when King Saul was rejected:

1 Samuel 15:23
Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft, and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols.
So because you have rejected the command of the Lord, he has rejected you as king.”

also

1 Samuel 15:22
But Samuel replied,
“What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice?
Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.

This is the same err today, because the gifts of God are without repentance:

Romans 11:29
For God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn.

People then take it for granted.

And again in all his humility and one on one talk with God, Moses did not enter the promised land.

Listen brethren, it is not just grace that was revealed to man, but "grace and truth".

John 1:14&17
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
For the law was given by Moses, [but] grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Colossians 1:6
Which is come unto you, as [it is] in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as [it doth] also in you, since the day ye heard [of it], and knew the grace of God in truth:

2 John 1:3&4
Grace be with you, mercy, [and] peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

"Grace" has to do with the finished work of Christ, the love of the Heavenly Father (you cannot save yourself); but truth has to do with obedience to God. Not a bondage to the law, No, but fruitfulness in the nature of God. Faithfulness, for God is love.

Listen to Paul:

Ephesians 5:6-10
Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him.
Don’t participate in the things these people do.
For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!
For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.
Carefully determine what pleases the Lord.

Hear again as Paul explains what grace brings:

Titus 2:11-13
For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.
And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God,
while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.

Knowing this why would anyone worship a man because he can prophesy, does supposed miracles and he uses the name "Jesus". Hello, know the Lord yourself! These gifts are for all who believe!

Truly it will make you less a nuisance to your spiritual leaders. They need you too. They cannot take Christ's place in your life, never, but they are your helpers. Don't put them in a fix.

Acts 14:14-15
But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard what was happening, they tore their clothing in dismay and ran out among the people, shouting,
“Friends, why are you doing this? We are merely human beings—just like you! We have come to bring you the Good News that you should turn from these worthless things and turn to the living God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them.

Hello minister, NEVER GET ROPED IN!

Hello, you cannot live a life of disobedience to the Heavenly Father and expect that Christ will accept you. No.

So help us Good Lord. We will not be rejected, we will please the Lord in all things.

Your Mercy Lord.

He calls us blessed.

Love
