WISDOM IS SUFFICIENT TO DIRECT

Ecclesiastes 10:8-10

When you dig a well, you might fall in. When you demolish an old wall, you could be bitten by a snake.

When you work in a quarry, stones might fall and crush you.

When you chop wood, there is danger with each stroke of your ax.

Using a dull ax requires great strength, so sharpen the blade.

That’s the value of wisdom; it helps you succeed.

That is the value of wisdom, though there are difficulties and consequences of actions there are also preventive measures to avoid those bad consequences. Thus you DO NOT have to lose every opportunity, but make the best of all situations.

Someone said:

Wisdom considers the best and safest way in every decision!

Truly so, look at Matthew's account on baby Jesus:

Matthew 2:13-16

After the wise men were gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up! Flee to Egypt with the child and his mother,” the angel said. “Stay there until I tell you to return, because Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”

That night Joseph left for Egypt with the child and Mary, his mother, and they stayed there until Herod’s death. This fulfilled what the Lord had spoken through the prophet: “I called my Son out of Egypt.”

Herod was furious when he realized that the wise men had outwitted him. He sent soldiers to kill all the boys in and around Bethlehem who were two years old and under, based on the wise men’s report of the star’s first appearance.

So we can define wisdom as:

"Wisdom considers God’s perspective on every decision."

Truly so, for the Heavenly Father knows more than any living being, we see the now, the immediate things and the near future, but he sees from every perspective. It is wise to listen to Him.

Matthew 2:19-21

When Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt.

“Get up!” the angel said. “Take the child and his mother back to the land of Israel, because those who were trying to kill the child are dead.”

So Joseph got up and returned to the land of Israel with Jesus and his mother.

As believers we have God’s Spirit living in us, thus we have the privilege of knowing what God is saying, we must take advantage of this.

The truth is that we are easily distracted by the troubles, excitements and temporary challenges of the world that we are most times NOT conscious of what the Lord is saying.

There are things we must remember:

* The Lord knows all, we enjoy His wisdom in Christ Jesus

1 Corinthians 1:30a

God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself.

* We learn from experiences and the best record of experiences is in the scriptures:

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

* Every decision and action has it's consequences, so we must take the right steps. We need the Spirit.

Ecclesiastes 11:9

Young people, it’s wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do.

Romans 14:12

Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.

Not only after here, there is even the NOW.

Help us Good Father.

We will be led by His Spirit even in the small things, we will continually be victorious. Thank you Dear Father.

He calls us blessed.

Love
