THE GLORY OF CHRIST

Colossians 1:15-16

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth.

He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—

such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.

The Lord Christ Himself is the very image of God, those who know Him, must know Him as who He is.

Mark 9:7

Then a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my dearly loved Son. Listen to him.”

Isaiah 9:6

For a child is born to us, a son is given to us.

The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called:

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

He is the only link way to the Father:

John 14:6-7

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!”

1 Timothy 2:5

For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.

The whole confusion of His person and divinity was as a result of His coming to earth, however, His coming was for humans' good, yet it is this same humans that disrespect and reject Him, what an err!

The powers of darkness knew Him and acknowledged Him, that was why they trembled at His presence, He thus cast them out.

Matthew 8:29

And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

So whether anyone accepts or rejects Him, He remains who He is. Glory to God.

Lets take time this morning to honour the Son of the Living God. As we remember His sacrifice for us. All things on this earth has a meaning because of His sacrifice. Halleluyah.

He calls us blessed.
