PROVING

Matthew 4:3a

During that time the devil came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God,... 

What causes so much problem in this world? It is the proving syndrome. That is why people fight, it is the reason people do evil against others. They try to prove a point. IS IT NECESSARY? 

If you are that great person, you don't have to prove anything, your light will shine! 

No matter what they do, your antagonist cannot change your royalty, for that is who you are. Our perfect example is the Word of God Himself, Christ Jesus. 

Isaiah 53:7-8

He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. 

He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. 

And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth.

Unjustly condemned, he was led away. 

No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. 

But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people.

Hey believers, what are you trying to prove, are you searching for relevance? You don't need to, you already are! 

1 Peter 5:5b-6

 And all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for 

“God opposes the proud 

    but gives grace to the humble.”

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.

Do you get the point? There is nothing to prove to the enemy, neither the world, all you need to do is live by the Spirit. You could be weak here or there, you don't account to the enemy but to the Heavenly Father, He is your Father, Judge and in Christ Jesus, your friend. You get the point? 

Remember the story of Simon the magician:

Acts 8:19,21-23

“Let me have this power, too,” he exclaimed, “so that when I lay my hands on people, they will receive the Holy Spirit!”

You can have no part in this, for your heart is not right with God.

Repent of your wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive your evil thoughts, for I can see that you are full of bitter jealousy and are held captive by sin.”

What is your motive, what do you want to prove? Learn from the Messiah himself, there is nothing to prove, but to live your christian life. 

James 4:1-3

What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you?

You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.

And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.

Don’t get dragged into the irrelevant, be concerned with pleasing the Lord. 

We will be found worthy, we will not degrade ourselves to join the world to pursue vain things. We will live the divine life. Help us good Lord. 

He calls us blessed.
