NO DRIFTING

2 Corinthians 11:2-3

For I am jealous for you with the jealousy of God himself. I promised you as a pure bride to one husband—Christ.

But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent.

Every true spiritual leader cares for the souls of those they brought the message of salvation to. Though one has to be careful not to get carried away and place themselves in the place of the owner Himself, the Heavenly Father through His Son Jesus the Christ. However no one would appreciate that any of their own drift away. 

Yes for we have the ceremonial ones, coming from different perspectives:

*the ones that promise, what the Lord did not promise

*the false prophets

*the ones who talk sweet and claim deep learning

*the ones who display signs and wonders but not from the Lord

*the ones who come with a strange gospel

*the ones who do not hide their rebellion

*religions and denominations

*the ones that claim that they know Christ but in a different capacity

2 Corinthians 11:4,13-15

You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed.

These people are false apostles. They are deceitful workers who disguise themselves as apostles of Christ.

But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

So it is no wonder that his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. In the end they will get the punishment their wicked deeds deserve.

See, the believer is not the one to be easily carried away with things even signs and wonders or sweet swelling words or philosophy neither religion. That is why the root must sink deep. Else the cunning one will sweep the believer away. 

How dare you who carry God’s Spirit be easily swayed away, becoming slaves to a mere human, who keeps you in bondage while they enjoy the best of life. How dare they call you who carry God's Spirit ordinary, while they are they super one. Hey, KNOW GOD YOURSELF! 

For these cunning and evil ones give a bad representation of the true christian leadership to the outside world. See, their wrath will yet come, they cannot go free! 

2 Corinthians 11:15b

In the end they will get the punishment their wicked deeds deserve.

Hello brethren, don't stay in deceit, the enemy did not start it today or this decade or century. No, the enemy began the attack right from the time of the first apostles. Even when strange traditions and practices were grafted into the church. Know the truth, stick to the Word, pray ceaselessly and walk with God's Spirit. 

Isaiah 50:7

Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. 

Therefore, I have set my face like a stone, determined to do his will. 

And I know that I will not be put to shame.

Glory to God, we do not drift away,  we come closer and closer to the Heavenly Father. Praise His Holy name. 

He calls us blessed.
