HE GAVE US SUCCOR

One of the greatest philosophies from the human mind is about humans, do we need succor, do we need external help?

Are we enough for ourselves, or do we need divine assistance?

The truth is that we were created to be dependent on our maker, for His breath sustains life in us. Furthermore His Word keeps us:

Genesis 2:7, 1:28

Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.

Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

Thus, this was man's state at creation before the fall, when sin came into play.

Yet at that same beginning the consciousness of God was still in  existence for not only Abel brought a sacrifice, Cain did also.

So where exactly did atheism begin? (A study of Genesis will show, after the tower of Babel)

It sustained on till the flood came and wiped away away all of physical life, leaving Noah and his seven:

No wonder Christ used that generation to compare the generation of the end times:

Matthew 24:37-39

“When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day.

In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat.

People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes.

Thus what is wisdom here, it is for us to acknowledge God. One gets to lose all finding out at the end that He is! For if He is not, what is there to loose? Thank God He is!

Proverbs 1:7

Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

It really does go beyond the fear, to having a relationship, this cannot be done without faith.

Hebrews 11:6

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

But how do we relate with the Mighty God when we are mere humans, that if we behold His face we go into total annihilation?

Exodus 33:20

But you may not look directly at my face, for no one may see me and live.”

THIS IS WHY JESUS HAD TO COME!

John 1:17-18

For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ.

No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.

John 14:6

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Thus, one has not begun their relationship with the Heavenly Father if they have not experienced the Son. The Word had to become flesh and dwell among us that we may have direct access to the Father.

Thus we can now come boldly:

Hebrews 4:14,16

So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe.

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

We all need succor, and Christ Jesus has paid the price for us to have it. Stay with Him.

Thank you Lord for this care. I trust in you completely.

He calls us blessed.

Love
