AND STILL ON THIS GIVING
2 Corinthians 9:7-8
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”
And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
"Freely and not by compulsion". . . , I have not seen when giving had a specified quantity in the new testament. In the old testament, the specification bordered on sacrifices, first fruits and tithes. However these were specified after the law was giving. Recall that the acceptance and rejection of Abel and Cain's sacrifice was not on specifications or quantity but on their state of mind.
Genesis 4:3-4,7
When it was time for the harvest, Cain presented some of his crops as a gift to the Lord.
Abel also brought a gift—the best portions of the firstborn lambs from his flock. The Lord accepted Abel and his gift,
You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.”
Some have tied giving of physical wealth to attain eternal reward. Of course there is reward for investing in the kingdom business and giving to the poor. However, not for salvation or spending eternity with the Heavenly Father. Let us not get it mixed up. The later is the premise, for what reward will I be looking for, if I am not a candidate of His kingdom. Selah
1 Corinthians 13:3
If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.
John 3:3,5,15-16
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.
so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
That is eternal life and not money!
However, every believer is a giver and the driving force of our giving is LOVE!
For believers are givers and their giving is contagious:
2 Corinthians 9:2-3
For I know how eager you are to help, and I have been boasting to the churches in Macedonia that you in Greece were ready to send an offering a year ago. In fact, it was your enthusiasm that stirred up many of the Macedonian believers to begin giving.
But I am sending these brothers to be sure you really are ready, as I have been telling them, and that your money is all collected. I don’t want to be wrong in my boasting about you.
For those who have the heart to give, the Lord provides for. He knows our hearts.
2 Corinthians 9:6-8
Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”
And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
*you decide. . . No one cajoles you, or promises you this or that, or hears a prophesy that you should give this or that. . . We are God’s ministers not extortionists, money doublers, anointing vendors or magicians.
We do not give to the rich but to the poor. That is the real essence of giving, this is different from your continual giving for your home assembly. For your fellowship and gathering is sustained by the giving of the members. Understanding is key. ***
2 Corinthians 9:9-11
As the Scriptures say,
“They share freely and give generously to the poor.
Their good deeds will be remembered forever.”
For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.
Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.
Yes, they thank God for your giving, this is how you live for God, when you cause people to give glory to God. The glory is not yours. It is for the Heavenly Father.
2 Corinthians 9:12-13
So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.
As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ.
Then they pray for you, and those prayers the Heavenly Father does not ignore. They are higher than any blessings any rich man will say to you. (Now lets touch this). . . Some go to the rich to get rich... the wise go to the poor, to touch heaven. Selah
2 Corinthians 9:14
And they will pray for you with deep affection because of the overflowing grace God has given to you.
Understand spiritual things.
Proverbs 19:17
If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord — and he will repay you!
For many keep shouting "destiny helper, destiny helper". HELLO!
You, whose destiny have you helped???
Never forget the greatest giver of all, the Heavenly Father.
2 Corinthians 9:15
Thanks [be] unto God for his unspeakable gift.
We are His children. Thus we act like Him.
Help us good Lord.
He calls us blessed.
Love
@the watcher.
May the lord bless us richly to fulfill our desires for sharing and giving
