WAS JESUS A PROPHET?
Matthew 16:13-17
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
“Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.”
Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?”
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus replied, “You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being.
The only reason anyone practicing any form of religion or following any form of sect would not come to Christ Jesus is because they either do not know or do not believe who He is.
What was the Heavenly Father's testimony concerning Jesus the Christ:
Matthew 3:16-17
After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him.
And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”

So should Jesus be classified as one of the prophets, definitely not for He did not just come to prophesy He came to say what He has experienced, He was the Word made flesh.
Matthew 11:25-27
At that time Jesus prayed this prayer: “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike.
Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way!
“My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”
John 1:14,18
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.
This is what holds back many who do not have faith, they just cannot explain the Son. They are limited or blinded by the earthy/carnal.
However it is yet the Son that would determine judgment at the end.
Thus He says:
Matthew 11:28-30
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
He draws all to Himself.
A prophet cannot and should not. The prophet draws people to the one they prophesy for.
So what is so special:
Who is Christ Jesus?
Colossians 1:15-17
Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.
He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,
for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth.
He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—
such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.
This is clear, this is testified by all of scriptures.
John 1:1-4
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He existed in the beginning with God.
God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.
The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.
These is more than any prophet, more than any person that have ever or will ever exists.
Revelation 1:8
“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”
If you think Jesus as just a prophet, you miss it and can never be able to see God. He alone can reveal the Father.
Matthew 11:27.
All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and [he] to whomsoever the Son will reveal [him].
Don't get it twisted, no one has ever seen the Heavenly Father, not even Moses the greatest of the prophets, they could only see His reflection, His glory.
Jesus the Christ is not a prophet. He is the Son, the begotten of the Father.
More importantly He is the only way to the Father and rightly so.
John 14:6
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
Acts 4:11-12
For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says,
‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’
There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”
We cannot know the Heavenly Father except, we know the Son.
John 14:9
Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you?
The whole of scriptures point to Jesus, and everything after the scriptures that is truth must originate from Him. Glory to God.
I have believed and secured eternity, I hope you have too.
He calls us blessed.
