WHAT CHRIST DID FOR US

Exodus 26:33
Hang the inner curtain from clasps, and put the Ark of the Covenant in the room behind it. This curtain will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.

Exodus 26 is a continuation of instructions for the building of the tabernacle, when we get to verse 33, we see where the demarcation separates the Holy place from the Most Holy place. What was behind this place?

Exodus 26:34
And thou shalt put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy [place].

*the Mercy Seat, the place of atonement* wow!

What did Jesus do?

Hebrews 10:20
By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.

Yes, see the account in the gospels:

Matthew 27:50-51
Then Jesus shouted out again, and he released his spirit.
At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart,

Mark 15:37-38
Then Jesus uttered another loud cry and breathed his last.
And the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.

Luke 23:44-46
By this time it was about noon, and darkness fell across the whole land until three o’clock.
The light from the sun was gone. And suddenly, the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn down the middle.
Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last.

What was the implication of this?

Hebrews 4:16
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

We can enter and enjoy God's abundant grace and mercy.

Has the holiness of the place reduced, No, has the power reduced no, but we have been given access and made worthy to enter. We must be careful not to take it for granted.

Hebrews 12:28-29
Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe.
For our God is a devouring fire.

Christ has made the way for us, He has given us the access to the Father, have we taken full advantage of it, or are we still walking as if we are still in bondage?

John 16:26-27
Then you will ask in my name. I’m not saying I will ask the Father on your behalf,
for the Father himself loves you dearly because you love me and believe that I came from God.

Then you wonder why anyone will pray to angels, dead people or saints or ask them to intercede on their behalf, why would anyone be looking for another intermediary living or dead to have access to the Heavenly Father? It contradicts the whole of scriptures!

So then what priest, pastor, general overseer or prophet would bar you from enjoying this great love and mercy? They cannot, instead they should encourage your direct fellowship with the Heavenly Father through His Son, Jesus the Christ.

Romans 8:38-39
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Christ has done it, what is remaining is for us to come boldly.

Nothing shall be impossible for us according to the Heavenly Father's will. We must be reminded that He knows and sees farther than us.

Thank you Heavenly Father for the privilege of your Son, we take full advantage, Glory to your Holy name.

He calls us blessed.

Love
