LET THE LORD LEAD

Exodus 40:34-38
Then the cloud covered the Tabernacle, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle.
Moses could no longer enter the Tabernacle because the cloud had settled down over it, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle.
Now whenever the cloud lifted from the Tabernacle, the people of Israel would set out on their journey, following it.
But if the cloud did not rise, they remained where they were until it lifted.
The cloud of the Lord hovered over the Tabernacle during the day, and at night fire glowed inside the cloud so the whole family of Israel could see it. This continued throughout all their journeys.

When one encounters the Lord it follows naturally that they would want the Lord to be the one leading the journey. However as times moves on it is eazy to forget who leads the journey, many take over captaincy of the ship.

From our text, we see that the tabernacle had been completed, however that did not put man in charge but God in charge. We err if we take God’s place. He must lead.

Today this same error is seen even with those who say they are brethren. They may have started out with the Lord but as time progresses they take over the leading, thus displaying the position of the Heavenly Father.

Jesus said:

John 8:29
And the one who sent me is with me—he has not deserted me. For I always do what pleases him.”

We must be careful not to get carried away with how the Lord had used us, or blessed us, that we forget who is in charge. For if the cloud did not rise they did not move, however when the cloud rose they set out on their journey.

One thing we must be weary of is UNNECESSARY COMPETITION, it is the cause of many dashing out without the Lord leading them, the motivation is now to look good in the sight of man and consequently err in the sight of God.

The cloud for us today is the Spirit of the Heavenly Father, the Holy Spirit:

Galatians 5:16
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.

For it is not everything you do in a hurry, ask the question: Lord what will you have me do?

See, it is wisdom NOT to go, unless the Lord goes with you.

Psalm 37:23
The steps of a [good] man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

We must be careful of what man, (flesh, lust & pride) and the enemy could push us to do.

Do you still hear the Lord? Realign, stay connected.

So help us good Lord, may our steps be ordered by you. We will not err, we are victorious, we do exploits. Thank you Father.

He calls us blessed.
