WHO IS TO BLAME?
Exodus 1:11
Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.
The Pharoah who knew Joseph and the generation of that time had passed away. The Pharoah as at Exodus chapter one did not know Joseph, was it that they did not keep records? Was he NOT told of how Joseph saved them from perishing? Joseph made Egypt the stronghold of the world, nations depended on them to eat. Furthermore it was Joseph that made all Egyptians subject or slaves to Pharaoh.
Whatever the case, this Pharaoh did not know Joseph:
Exodus 1:8
Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.
As a result he began to torment the people of Israel, he turned them to be slaves. He did not stop there, he began killing all male children.
When times of troubles come, naturally we humans would want to seek who to blame.
WHO IS TO BLAME?
The truth is if we are going to blame anyone we would blame the Heavenly Father:
Genesis 15:13
And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land [that is] not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
So who is to blame?
The bible records the story of a man blind from birth:
John 9:1-3
As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who had been blind from birth.
“Rabbi,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?”
“It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.
Thus "who is to blame?"
We could dwell on the issue of who is to blame and profit nothing thereof, for it will get us no way. Instead we are to triumph even in the troubles, persecution or difficulty.
*Joseph faced his troubles, he did not blame it on his brothers, he came out triumphant.
*The whole city of Israel was destroyed, the people were carted away as salves, Daniel did not waste his time looking for who to blame, he knew His God so He did exploits.
No matter what the present trouble or difficulty is, we must breakout of the blame game, and excel, for our Lord and Saviour said:
John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
1John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, [even] our faith.
Remember:
1 Corinthians 10:13
The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
We are victorious! This too shall pass.
