CONTINUE THE GOOD WORK
Genesis 19:1-3
That evening the two angels came to the entrance of the city of Sodom. Lot was sitting there, and when he saw them, he stood up to meet them. Then he welcomed them and bowed with his face to the ground.
“My lords,” he said, “come to my home to wash your feet, and be my guests for the night. You may then get up early in the morning and be on your way again.”“Oh no,” they replied. “We’ll just spend the night out here in the city square.”
But Lot insisted, so at last they went home with him. Lot prepared a feast for them, complete with fresh bread made without yeast, and they ate.
We may not be able to tell if Lot and his household would have been completely destroyed with Sodom and Gomorrah, however it is recorded that it was only he and his immediate family that were allowed to escape. (What happened to the rest of the family?)
What if he had not shown this good character which he must have learnt from Abraham?
Paul gave this admonition to Timothy, thus to all who have believed:
2 Timothy 3:14-15
But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.
You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.
It should not be a function of your environment, the people around you, where you live, work or do business should not be the defining factor of your character. Your character is you. And if you are of the Heavenly Father, you should have His character.
Galatians 5:22-23
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
You cannot have God as your Father then have the devil as your mentor! Check!
Ephesians 5:9-11
For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.
Carefully determine what pleases the Lord.
Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them.
Remember, we are good not because others are good. It is our nature, that is how our Heavenly Father, gave birth to us.
2 Corinthians 5:17-18
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.
Halleluyah, I carry God's nature in me, I cannot be destroyed with the wicked, I am saved, I only do good.

Hebrews 13:21
Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen.
He calls us blessed
