CIRCUMCISION
Genesis 17:10
This [is] my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
The evidence of Abraham's covenant was circumcision. It was him and all his household. This was to be for all his generation.
This circumcision was a sign, what was really to be circumcised was the heart. For it was obedience to God that mattered. It was one thing to be circumcised, it was another to live in obedience. For though they were circumcised, those who refused to live by faith in God still perished.
Jeremiah 4:4
Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench [it], because of the evil of your doings.
Jeremiah 9:26b
for all [these] nations [are] uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel [are] uncircumcised in the heart.
Romans 2:25-29
The Jewish ceremony of circumcision has value only if you obey God’s law. But if you don’t obey God’s law, you are no better off than an uncircumcised Gentile.
And if the Gentiles obey God’s law, won’t God declare them to be his own people?
In fact, uncircumcised Gentiles who keep God’s law will condemn you Jews who are circumcised and possess God’s law but don’t obey it.
For you are not a true Jew just because you were born of Jewish parents or because you have gone through the ceremony of circumcision.
No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by the Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people.
However a greater circumcision was established for every human, when God reached out to all people. This is the baptism, the new birth, when God's Spirit comes to dwell in man. It is the separation of man from the sinful nature.
Colossians 2:10-12
So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision—the cutting away of your sinful nature.
For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.
This is the new circumcision, that of the new covenant, better than the old. Which the Heavenly Father Himself sealed.
In the same way, we who have received this spiritual circumcision must live like what we have become with the nature of God reflected in us. We will not err like those of old who did not live up to who they ought to be.
We who have come to Christ are the true beneficiary of the Abrahamic blessings:
Galatians 3:26-29
For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.
There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.
And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.
Glory to God. We walk in this truth we fulfil purpose, we do exploits. We live in obedience. Halleluyah.
He calls us blessed.

Glory to God....we receive the grace to walk with God in total obedience.
