BEWARE OF SIDE ATTRACTIONS

Genesis 16:2
And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

There is the term "helping the Lord", it is the effort of man to bring to pass what the Lord had promised using human efforts, deceits of the enemy or carnal wisdom.

It is delicate in the sense that, what the Lord promised you could seem to delay, thus the enemy or your human mind would begin to suggest alternatives which are not God centered.

The end result is not always pleasant. As people testify, we still feel the impact of Sarai and Abram's mistake.

Genesis 16:4-5
So Abram had sexual relations with Hagar, and she became pregnant. But when Hagar knew she was pregnant, she began to treat her mistress, Sarai, with contempt.
Then Sarai said to Abram, “This is all your fault! I put my servant into your arms, but now that she’s pregnant she treats me with contempt. The Lord will show who’s wrong—you or me!”

It is difficult to complain to the Heavenly Father about an issue He neither sent you to do, nor permitted you to do. Selah

Wisdom is indeed needed.

Psalm 83 tells us of how this mistake continued to be a nuisance to Israel and it continues up till today.

Galatians 4:22-23
The Scriptures say that Abraham had two sons, one from his slave wife and one from his freeborn wife.
The son of the slave wife was born in a human attempt to bring about the fulfillment of God’s promise. But the son of the freeborn wife was born as God’s own fulfillment of his promise.

Dear Father help us not to err or continue to err. We are weak but you are strong. Please strengthen us Dear Lord.

He calls us blessed.
