THE THREE
1John 5:7(KJV)
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
1 John 5:7
So we have these three witnesses—
There have been a lot of arguments concerning the three, or the trinity as the Roman Catholic church coined it and thus others followed. Some relate it to the Babylonian gods and other deities who reigned in earlier times.
I love what Apostle Paul taught us:
Colossians 2:8
Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ.
1 Timothy 1:4
Don’t let them waste their time in endless discussion of myths and spiritual pedigrees. These things only lead to meaningless speculations, which don’t help people live a life of faith in God.
For recently many have left the way of Christ and have begun to dwell in the arguments, the same error that the Pharisees and Sadducees did.
For though they were physically with Christ they could NOT enjoy the benefit of His presence. Selah!
However from creation, the Father, the Word and God's Spirit has been revealed. For the Father initiated the creation, the Spirit empowered the site and the Word brought forth the physical.
Genesis 1:1-3
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
This is how all things work:
The Father initiates, the Spirit prepares the site and the Word gives it, its form.
John 1:1-4
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He existed in the beginning with God.
God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.
The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.
There is no division in the Father and His Word neither with His Spirit, it is we humans that have the disagreement. Thus Jesus prayed:
John 17:21
I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.
So the oneness is not arguable, Christ said so Himself, so why do we continue the argument?
John 10:30
I and [my] Father are one.
Thus salvation is complete in the presence of the Three. For we are to be returned to the Father - the Initiator, thus we are convicted/convinced by the Spirit, empowered by the Word and thus becomes adopted into God's family.
Glory to God.
Never forget that no matter what the powers that existed or exists practice(d), they are just an imitation of the truth. They copy the prototype of the original. The Heavenly Father has the original. Selah
So do not doubt the oneness of The Heavenly Father, His Word and His Spirit, instead enjoy the salvation and life you received. Glory to God, we are made in His image: Body, Soul and Spirit. May we receive full understanding, by His Spirit. Halleluyah.
Worship the Heavenly Father.
He calls us blessed.
