THE LORD FIGHTS FOR HIS OWN
Genesis 12:17
And the LORD plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram's wife.
Fighting against the Lord's own has been recurrent through time, it was there from the time of Abel, time of Abraham, to when Isaac's wells were contested. It was there when Joseph's brothers' envy led to his betrayal. Through the time of Israel to the period of captivity. We see the opposition against Daniel. We see the gathering against Nehemiah when he went to rebuild Jerusalem.
The battle against God's own was there through the time of the prophets. Even when Christ was revealed they came against Him. In their ignorance of God's plan they actually worked to fulfil it.
When Christ was to leave He said:
John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Thus it is not strange when tribulation arises because of ones faith in the Heavenly Father.
No matter how the tempest rises, the Lord always fights for His own. It never stopped and never will, even today He will fight for His own.
The truth is that the battles the Lord fights for us are not always in our conscious atmosphere. Most times what we make the greatest noise about, may not be the main battle.
For Christ was in the boat and his disciples were talking about perishing. Odd!
Mark 4:38
And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
We who have believed and walk with the Father should understand that the Lord got us covered. The problem most times is that we go out of His will, walk in disobedience and seek our own things. Thus our faith would definitely be shaken. When this happens fear sets in.
Matthew 8:26
And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
We humans really tend to forget things, we may have testified, but do we keep our testimonies in remembrance for more victories?
Yes, truly there are things we will suffer but no matter what, the Lord has us covered.
We trade fear for faith. He does fight our battles. Glory to God.
He calls us blessed.
