RESISTING GOD'S WILL
Genesis 11:4
And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top [may reach] unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
The multilingual nature of humanity is recorded as being a result of man running away from the purpose of God for him.
Genesis 11:8
So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
Yes, it is man's role to plan, however, it is what the Lord says that will come to pass. The Lord wanted man to fill the whole earth, Nimrod convinced the people to stay in a place and build a tower that will rise up to the heavens, that they may make a name. I believe he would have named it the tower of Nimrod, for I believe he was just as selfish as some leaders we have today.
Is there anyway we are moving away from God's purpose, as a person, a family, an organization, an assembly, community or even a nation? We need to come back to God's will for us. For no matter how far or long we run in that circle (for that is what it is), it is God's will that will stand.
Ephesians 5:15-17
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord [is].
Heavenly Father we ask that you forgive us of our err. Please grant us full grace to understand your will and that all we do will not go against your will but will fulfil it. Help us Good Lord. All the Glory to your Holy Name.
He calls us blessed.
