BE ALIVE
Romans 6:11
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Knowing that we live only for a time, most likely within or some distance away from a century, we know that for each cheer of rejoicing bringing us into a new year, we approach the inevitable, that is our time reduces here on earth.
We thus must live, HOW?
Colossians 1:23
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and [be] not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, [and] which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
James 1:25
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth [therein], he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
The first step is our assurance of salvation:
Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
This we cannot overemphasize, for what is there to gain if one thrives in all, yet has no place with our maker in eternity? For it is a terrible thing to be condemned. Yes, some do not belief in damnation or hell, that does not change the fact that it exists. For the man whose shop got gutted by fire and did not see the need for insurance would have to bear the full consequences of the loss.
Then after we have settled the eternal we set to live the life we have here, for it is for our work(s) here that we will receive reward(s)
Matthew 16:27
For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
So we live, not as fools but as wise. Knowing that everyday counts and tomorrow is a function of today.
Ephesians 5:15-18
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise.
Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.
Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit,
Galatians 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
It is either we sow to corruption or sow to life:
Galatians 6:7-9
Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.
Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
Age is not a matter, for it is the Heavenly Father alone who can tell how long we will live:
Ecclesiastes 11:9-10
Young people, it’s wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do.
So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless.
Thus we live, and it takes life to live and where is life?
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
1John 5:11
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
BE ALIVE!
Let all you do be unto the Lord, that way, you avoid the err, for really man is carnal but God is eternal, infallible!
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty.
God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad.
So we are alive in Christ Jesus unto good works.
Glory to God, we know where life is.
He calls us blessed.
