WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BUILD?
Nehemiah 1:3
And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province [are] in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also [is] broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.
We live in times when the desire for pleasure, luxury, comfort and ease, rule the day. Most people are seeking the easiest way out. More are running from responsibilities and many are forsaking decency and the love of God is rare.
Nehemiah heard of the state of his home country, what was his reaction?
Nehemiah 1:4
And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned [certain] days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,
What is broken, what is in a bad stage? It may be your state, country or even your home.
Do you feel like taking responsibility, or it doesn't bother you. We have our place of responsibility, we are placed in certain places to enable make certain changes. What Mordecai said to Esther comes to mind:
Esther 4:14
For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, [then] shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for [such] a time as this?
As we approach the new year, let us not limit ourselves to asking God for what He would do for us. Let us also ask that He opens our eyes to see what is broken that we need to build especially in our areas of influence.
It could be in your family, that thing which is NOT working right, that discord that the Lord has assigned you to amend. Remember anointing is for doing good.
Act 10:38
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Are you in government, a leader in one place or another? What have you been doing? Building or destroying what has been built. Are you stealing from common wealth, have you taken advantage of those you lead.
It is time to retrace steps, make amends and do what is right. For in all, we must account to the Heavenly Father, who is above all. Evil does not last forever, but good has everlasting reward.
Romans 14:12
So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
May the Lord open our eyes, may we take the right actions, may we be empowered to build and restore.
We will truly bring praise to our God.
He calls us blessed.
