RESTORATION: BACK TO GOD
Joshua 1:8
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
By the 7th month the reconstruction had come a long way the people could settle in their cities:
Nehemiah 7:73
So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and [some] of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel [were] in their cities.
They needed to do the needful, seek the way of the Lord:
Nehemiah 8:1-3
And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the street that [was] before the water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel.
And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month.
And he read therein before the street that [was] before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people [were attentive] unto the book of the law.
The most important part of any restoration, is the God factor. We must NOT be deceived, every accomplishment of man has the influence of the spirit. For the carnal/physical man cannot get far. Many of what is called secular, is not merely secular, it is just that you will not be shown the full picture.
If we are going to go beyond the physical, why not it be with the greatest of all, the creator Himself, let it be Him we entrust ourselves to.
Nehemiah 8:6
And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with [their] faces to the ground.
Our pastors, teachers, spiritual leaders and evangelist must arise and begin to teach the word of God in truth to the people:
Nehemiah 8:7-9
Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people [stood] in their place.
So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused [them] to understand the reading.
And Nehemiah, which [is] the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day [is] holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.
Enough of gimmicks, comedy and shows, but the true word of God released to the people that there may be true restoration.
This was what our Saviour did and taught us to do:
Matthew 4:23
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
Jesus took the law and explained it to the people from the perspective of the Heavenly Father.
He left the world physically and commanded us to keep teaching

Matthew 28:19-20
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
For even after Christ ascended He promised us God's Spirit who will continue to TEACH us:
John 14:26
But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
1 Corinthians 14:19
Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that [by my voice] I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an [unknown] tongue.
Colossians 1:28
Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
For many who ought to be leaders and teachers have slept off, while others have deviated and now chase carnal things especially that power: Money!
Hebrews 5:12
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which [be] the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
However, as we enter the new year we must ensure that there is restoration. We and our own must turn our heart back to God. (Know those you account for in this life). Do the needful.
Nehemiah 8:18
Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day [was] a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.
I see restoration in the coming year, many who left the way of the Lord will return. The Lord will be glorified afresh in our lives. Halleluyah.
He calls us blessed.
