MAKE PLANS
Proverbs 16:9
We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.
Nehemiah 2:18
Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for [this] good [work].
You should have a plan, it is not lack of faith, it is actually an act of faith.
For Jesus said:
Luke 14:28-30
“But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?
Otherwise, you might complete only the foundation before running out of money, and then everyone would laugh at you.
They would say, ‘There’s the person who started that building and couldn’t afford to finish it!’
What is your plan for the rest of the year? What is your plan for the coming year? It should cover every area of your life. Spiritual, Financial, Family, Health, Career, Work, Ministry etc.
When we pray, we provoke the Heavenly Father to reveal things to us, we do not stop there, we study, we understand, then like Nehemiah we take action. The first step for every action, is the PLAN.
Yes oppositions would arise in the form of people or situations, we must be optimistic, Nehemiah responded this way:
Nehemiah 2:19-20
But when Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem the Arab heard of our plan, they scoffed contemptuously. “What are you doing? Are you rebelling against the king?” they asked.
I replied, “The God of heaven will help us succeed. We, his servants, will start rebuilding this wall. But you have no share, legal right, or historic claim in Jerusalem.”
Yes it is expected from the enemies that when they hear of your plan, they could mock you, try to discourage you. Remember they have no share in the plan, legal right or claim. The storm will make the noise but it will not be able to stop you. (Even friends could be stumbling blocks)
For it is in God we trust, His authority surpasses all. He is the one to bring our plans to fulfilment.
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.
We never lose, we WIN.
We will succeed. We will fulfill purpose, glory to God.
He calls us blessed.
