FAITHFUL GOD (Psalm 138)
Psalms 138:8
Finish what you started in me, God. Your love is eternal - don't quit on me now.
He is a faithful God, He will not abandon us half way. For from the beginning we see the Heavenly Father as the one who keeps His own end of the deal. It is man who comes out unfaithful.
What a faithful Father.
As Great and High the Heavenly Father is, He yet reaches out to the humble. What is it that we can give Him. Nothing!
Psalm 138:6
Though the LORD [be] high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.
This is LOVE!
How can anyone reject such love?
His hands are stretched out, how many have run into Him? It is our duty to let everybody know. All things will yet come to an end, then the grace will be over.
Who is it that will stand against us when the Lord stands for us.
Psalm 138:7
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
Why will we not praise, why will we not worship?
As we come closer to the end of the year. Let us take a break from all the pursuing and spend time with the Heavenly Father.
May we not sacrifice the eternal for the carnal.
Before all the idols (everything that man can pursue), we will give praise to our God.
Psalm 138:1
I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope, comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say.
Praise ye the Lord.
He calls us blessed.
Love
